Online classes with live expert instructors will explain key terms, calculations, and processes for financial executives and stock plan administrators.
Needham, MA – May 15, 2008 — Two Step Software, Inc., a leader in stock plan administration and corporate governance solutions, announced today that it will begin offering equity compensation accounting and tax classes for finance and stock plan professionals, whether they are beginners or seasoned veterans. These stock plan administration courses will be conducted online, led by a live, expert instructor, and will address key terms, calculations and processes.
“Equity compensation accounting is getting more and more complicated,” said Two Step Software President and CEO, Gary D. Levine. “We talk with finance and legal teams every day and realize that many can easily do it right with the proper software package, but simply lack the time required to gain a sufficient understanding of valuation and expensing under FAS 123R.”
“As a leader in the industry, we know there’s a demand out there for something like FAS 123R ‘for Dummies’ since there are so many terms, rules and methods that are new over the past two years,” he said. “Like that popular series, these classes offer a wealth of information in a short amount of time. The more educated our customers, the more successful they’ll be.”
These courses consist of live webcasts which are scheduled classroom-style utilizing a conference call and computer. All class materials can be viewed either from a computer or printed out as PDF files. Instructors cover the laws and regulations, principles and best practices, as well as how to avoid the most common mistakes. Concepts, formulas and timing are explained with easy-to-read slides and clear-cut diagrams. Instructors are available to answer questions during the sessions. CPE credits are available for most classes.
Upcoming classes include:
- Basic Concepts and Terminology for FAS 123R
- Accounting for FAS 123R – Introduction
- Accounting for FAS 123R – Advanced
- Taxation I for Stock Plan Administrators
